Coffee Tour Colombia: A Journey to the Origin of Coffee
What is a coffee trip and how does it work?
A coffee trip is about making a connection. It gives the coffee drinker a great chance to gain a deep insight into where their coffee really comes from and to get to know the people and the country. This experience opens up a whole new perspective and helps you to enjoy your coffee with a much deeper appreciation. On a coffee trip, many questions are answered, such as:
- What does the country where my coffee is grown look like?
- How does the coffee harvest work and how is coffee processed?
- How are the land and the coffee plants treated? Is it managed sustainably? And what does that actually mean in the "real world"?
- Who are the people who work hard every day to ensure that I can enjoy my coffee every day?
A coffee trip to our coffee farm "Finca La Macarena" in Colombia is about much more:
The coffee farms are all located away from the cities in the majestic mountain landscapes of the Andes. These are criss-crossed by jungle, rivers, waterfalls and every now and then a little house and a farm. This location ensures that you can really relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Find yourself again and connect with the nature around you. And at the same time, your horizons are broadened when it comes to coffee!
The saying "learn by doing" is not without reason. We will help you, our adventurer on a coffee journey, to answer all your questions about coffee cultivation yourself. How?
Through unfiltered experiences on site. You live for a few days on a real coffee farm, with privacy of course, and immerse yourself in the life of Colombian farm workers:
You start the day with a traditional breakfast and coffee, like generations of coffee farmers before us.
You can put on your rubber boots, put on your sombrero, strap on your machete and accompany the coffee farmers at work.
Plant a coffee plant yourself. Help with the harvest, etc.
And, last but not least, since you're already sitting at the source: you won't be able to drink fresher coffee any time soon!
And who knows, if you weren't a coffee lover before, maybe you'll come back with a new-found passion for coffee? ..

A connection with nature
Located in the middle of the Andean mountains, you can connect with nature at "La Macarena". From a hammock or during a hike through the countryside, you can listen to nature: the rustling of the wind in the leaves of the trees, the chirping of the many species of birds and the gurgling of the water from a small stream that runs through the finca. If you get tired of the peace and quiet, there are rivers and waterfalls waiting to be explored!

Colombia Culinary
When are you closer to the typical dishes of a country than when a local cook prepares dishes that have been passed down from generations to generations from her family? With fresh ingredients straight from the neighbours' farms and the farm's own finca.
You can also test your cooking skills with local ingredients on a brick firewood oven, typical of rural Colombia. As always, everything is possible, it's in your hands.
