Our Story
We are not roasters. We are the coffee farmers.
Direct trade with farmers – no intermediaries.
+50% above market price for producers.
Transparent origin – traceable back to the farm.
Gently roasted in Hamburg – fresh to order.
Finca "La Mejorana"
🌿 For five generations, coffee has been cultivated at Finca La Mejorana in harmony with nature. Knowledge is passed down from generation to generation and is now preserved by "Tio Carlos".
Under tall shade trees, the coffee plants grow in a vibrant ecosystem. Instead of relying on herbicides and intensive fertilization, the farm utilizes natural cycles to promote healthy soils and strong plants.
Every coffee cherry is hand-picked and processed using a traditional family recipe through the washed method. The result: high-quality Colombian coffee with full transparency to its origin.

Artisan Roasting in Hamburg
Good coffee takes time. That's why our coffee is freshly drum-roasted in small batches in Hamburg – by hand and far from industrial mass production.
The slow roasting process at low temperatures allows the natural aromas of the beans to fully develop. The result is a balanced coffee with more flavor, without bitterness and without harmful acids for the stomach. This ensures particularly pleasant digestibility.
☕ More aroma and complexity
🌱 Gentle processing instead of mass production
🏡 Freshly and locally roasted in Hamburg
❤️ Produced with the same care with which the coffee was cultivated in Colombia
This creates coffee that respects its origin and unfolds its full potential in your cup.
From Colombia to you
We are not just coffee sellers. We are part of the origin ourselves.
As young entrepreneurs, we took over an abandoned coffee farm in Colombia and have been rebuilding it step by step ever since. That's why we know how much work, patience, and passion goes into every cup of coffee.
This closeness to the origin helps us select producers who are committed to quality, sustainability, and better future prospects in rural areas.
With Welttisch, we connect two worlds: the people who grow the coffee and the people who enjoy it.
From the farm to your cup – without detours, with transparency and respect for every hand involved.
Why Specialty Coffee Tastes Different
Commercial coffee
- Mass production without traceability
- Often low-quality beans, a "wild mix"
- Industrial, very dark roast to "mask" the poor taste of the bean mixture
- Often indigestible for many people's stomachs due to excessively fast roasting
- Few aromas, sometimes stale taste. Must therefore often be "diluted" with sugar and milk
- Not a good deal for coffee farmers, as quality is not rewarded
Welttisch Specialty Coffee
- 100% transparent origin and traceability
- Only high-quality beans scoring 80+ points
- Artisanal, slow roasting for optimal aroma development
- Slow roasting reduces harmful acids: Very digestible
- Unique flavor profiles, very enjoyable even without milk and sugar
- Quality pays off financially for farmers. This motivates better harvesting & cultivation methods

Frequently Asked Questions
I don't have a grinder - is that okay?
No problem. When purchasing, choose your grind (filter, Moka, French Press, espresso) – we'll grind it for you accordingly. Or opt for whole beans for maximum freshness.
How soon will I get my coffee?
Your package usually arrives within 2–4 business days. Shipping is free with this set.
Is the coffee easy to digest?
The slow drum roasting reduces irritating acids. Many sensitive stomachs tolerate our coffee significantly better.
How many cups do 2x 250g make?
Around 30–40 cups in total – enough to get to know both roasts at your leisure.
